About the event
In this workshop, exhibiting artist Willie Welch will share his approach to drawing and painting as a realist. Participants will learn how Welch develops his compositions through careful observation, starting with technical drawing techniques and then building toward painting. He will demonstrate how he captures form, light, and detail to bring his subjects to life on the page. This session is ideal for artists and learners of all levels who are interested in sharpening their drawing skills and understanding the bridge between drawing and painting. All supplies will be provided.
