A call to NC Artists
As you know, the Delta Arts Center has long been dedicated to showcasing the work of local and regional artists. In addition to our biannual juried invitational exhibitions, we regularly feature North Carolina artists through solo and small group shows. We are always seeking new and innovative talent to present in our gallery.
To that end, we are pleased to announce a call for artists for the
“Invitational 2026@ Delta Arts” juried exhibition. We are seeking works of art by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) artists from North Carolina that showcase the best that our state has to offer. We hope that you will consider submitting an application for this exhibition or sending this information to artists you know.
Artists are invited to submit proposals by December 20, 2025. You may submit up to three artworks, providing one digital image for each piece. An artist statement (300 words maximum) should also be submitted via application, addressing the ideas, practice, or process of the artist and these particular works. Please identify each image with the artist’s name, title of work, date created, exact size, and medium in the body of the message.
Criteria:

All works must have been completed in the last three years (no earlier than 2023) and be for sale

All types of two-dimensional and three-dimensional media are acceptable, as long as exact dimensions are specified

All artwork must be delivered to the Delta Arts Center between January 7-10 during opening hours
Works of art will be selected for an exhibition to be held January 20, 2026 – March 27, 2026. All selected works must be for sale; a 30% commission on each sale will benefit the Delta Arts Center. Accepted artists will be notified by December 30, 2026. Please contact us via email with any questions, or to submit a proposal which includes an artist statement (max. 300 words), and digital images of artwork (up to three pieces).
Again, the deadline is December 20, 2025. No late submissions will be considered. All images submitted may be used for publicity.
