The Calling: Hoodoo's Communion with The Ancestors A Photography Exhibition by Phillip Loken
North Carolina photographer and cultural worker Phillip Loken presents his first solo exhibition, The Calling: Hoodoo’s Communion With The Ancestors, honoring Black ancestral traditions through photography and spirituality. The series documents The Calling, an inaugural Hoodoo Homecoming at the Eno River, celebrating connection, resistance, and the living presence of the ancestors.

Delta Arts Center Engages Families at Reynolda’s Community Day
At Reynolda’s Community Day, Delta Arts Center highlighted community and history alongside its fall exhibition Camel City. Kids enjoyed a printmaking station, creating their own prints of a camel holding a paintbrush—designed by Timothy Jeffers—connecting art, history, and hands-on learning in a fun, interactive way.

Winston-Salem State University Visual Arts Department Visits Delta Arts Center
Winston-Salem State University’s Department of Visual Arts and Studies visited the Delta Arts Center to view its current exhibitions, Field Notes: Black Leisure and the Land and Black Cowboys: Generations Chapter II. During the visit, students met with Program Director and WSSU alumnus Timothy Jeffers to discuss art, community, and career pathways in the cultural arts.
